An Introduction to This Blog

Dear parents and caregivers,
This information will be mailed to you prior to the start of the school year, but will also be posted here for reference.

The school is starting, and I know many of you will want to know what we're working on in our classroom, and what's coming up, and I want to make sure to keep you informed!  A one-page newsletter highlighting the activities of the week will be sent home every Friday, but I will also be including extra information related to child development and learning on this website.  The right column of the page will include a list of the books we have read so far this year, and if you click on the book, the amazon.com page will come up if you'd like to see a description of the story!  The lyrics to our classroom songs will also be included, along with extra activities that you can check out at home.  Our "needs list" will always be posted at the bottom of the webpage.  These are items that can be useful in our school activities and in the general classroom, so if you are not using any of them, please donate them to our class.

To the right, there is also an option to enter your e-mail, so that instead of checking the blog, you can be e-mailed the entry whenever a new one is posted!

Blogs are set up a little differently than other websites, so I wanted to add a quick tutorial.  The earlier the date of the entry, the lower on the page (in other words, the most recent entry will be at the top of the page).  To see older posts, you can scroll to the bottom of the page and click on "older posts."

If you ever want any information printed and sent home with your child, or mailed to your home, please feel free to let me know.  I am always happy to share information with caregivers and others in the community, so if you have anything you would like discussed in class, or posted here, please pass it on!

I'm looking forward to getting to know each of you!

-Ashley
